He was Ordained a priest in
Rome in the church of Saint Athanasius on the 01 December 1935.
He studied for 5 years in the
Seminary of Benedict XV at the Abbey in Grottaferrata, theology and
philosophy in the Greek College in Rome.
The parish priest of the
church of Saint Peter in Elbasan, Berat and Korçë.
He was arrested in Korçë on
the 31 October 1946 and there he was imprisoned.
He was sentenced to 7 years
imprisonment but this sentence was turned into different types of work
in Korçë. In spring and Summer they sent him together with the others,
to different kinds of work in Korçë and later in Maliq. While working to
dry up the swamps he died in Maliq, he was buried alive in the swamps
where he fell because he was exhausted from work he died on the 26
October 1948.
Other information: He was
very devoted and full of zeal.
While he was praying in
prison, Agap Papajani asked him. “What are you doing?”
“He answered “I am praying
for those persecutors that God will forgive them for all they are doing
thus”.
Exhausted from the forced
labours he worked until he had no more strength. One day he fell and was
pushed down into the mud by the rifle butts of the guards in the swamps
of Maliq and there they left him to die and there he was buried.
