He studied theology in Graz
(Austria). He received a diploma in philosophy and theology. He taught
the Novices from (1929 -1938), Minister Provincial from (1938 – 1941).
Director of the Franciscan College from )1941 – 1944). He was arrested
on his way back from Tirana, where he had gone to take care of same of
the convent property.
He was imprisoned in Shkodër
on the 08 January 1946 and was sentenced to death.
He was shot and killed in
Shkodër at 5.am together with Mons. Frano Gjini, Fr. Mati Prendushi
o.f.m. and 13 other prisoners on the 11 March 1948.
Other information: He was a
musician, he played the flute. All those who had known him proclaimed
that he was a real Saint.
His deep faith, culture, and
love for his home land caused hatred by the government. When they
tortured him he said to the policeman, “I know who you are, and know
that you want to destroy the faith, but you will never succeed.
His lost were these: “Glory
be to Christ the King and I forgive my enemies, Albania will not die
with us’.
He was shot and killed along
with others in the Cemetery of Remaj in Shkodër and there they were
left.
