The
Servant of God priest Jack Bushati

Born in Shkodër on the 07 July 1890.
Baptised in Shkodër on the 08 July 1890
Confirmed 29 June 1899 from the diocese of Shkodër.
He
was ordained priest in Shkodër on the 29 May 1915.
At
first he studied with the Franciscans then in the Pontifical
Seminary of Albania.
As
a parish priest in Ndërfane, for 26 years in Mirditë. After this
he started to build the church of Gëziq (Mirditë) and opened the
first school in this parish in 1936. In 1946 he was sent to
Kallmet, where he stayed until the day he was arrested. He was
imprisoned in Kallmet in 1949. he died in prison in Lezha from
torture on the 18 September 1949.
Other information: After many tortures he died before he was
sentenced.
Now his remains are in the Catholic Cemetery of Rëmaj in Shkodër.
