He was ordained priest in
…………….. on the…………..
He came to Albania before the
Germans arrived and was the first missionary in the area of Kthella (Mirditë)
from 1938 – 1946.
In 1943 he went to Jube (Durrës).
He was imprisoned in Tirana
on the 11 March 1946 (according to same people in 1945).
He was sentenced to 2 years
imprisonment in Tirana.
He was killed in the forest
on the way to Kosovo. They took him there pretending that they would
help him get over the border. They killed him saying that he was trying
to escape, this was the communist wan of acting on the 16 November 1946
at 08. 18 pm (according to verbal statement).
Other information: The first
time they arrested him they set him to Durrës an after a few days they
set him free because some of the old people from the village of Jube,
together with the muslim Lam Aslami, asked for him to be set free.
After two or three weeks they
arrested him for the second time and sent him to Tirana and from then he
never come back.
This time the old people from
the village where not able to do anything, and when they learned of his
death they were very sad and felt guilty because they had not been able
to do any thing to help him.
He was arrested and killed
because he was a Catholic priest and more so because he was a German.
