He studied in
Austria and Italy
Parish priest
of Gllogjan. Director of the Orphanage’s. Anthony of Padua” in Gjakove –
Kosovo (Kosovo).
He was
imprisoned in Gjakove 04 March 1913.
He was shot and
killed in the Janosh forest (Novoselle- Gjakove) at the end of the
national road.
Manner: Shot on
the 07 March 1913.
Other
information: He was killed for his Faith, in hatred of the faith “
because he did not want to become a Montenegrin Orthodox and he opposed
the forced conversion of Catholics and Moslems to the Orthodox faith.
Even though he could gave gone away, he stayed there to protect the
Catholic and Muslim believers, he even went so far as to go to the
Montenegrin Military Commander who was looking for him.
Before the
court he said: “ I am in the service of Jesus Christ and the Pope”.
His last words
were: “ May every thing be of Jesus Christ”.
Nine days after
he was shot, his body which had been covered only with a bit of earth
was found undecayed without sign of disintegration or bad odour. They
closed it in a tin coffin and buried him again the cemetery of our Lady
of the assumption in Zym on the 15 July 1913.
From the
beginning he was honoured.
