He studied with the
Franciscans and other studies he did in Graz (Austria). He was superior,
definator, sub provincial, Parish priest of Kastrat, Iballe, Gomsiqe,
Prior in Tirana, minister Provincial from the 17 June 1944 until the day
of his arrest on the 15 November 1946.
He was arrested and
imprisoned in Shkodër on the 15 November 1946
He was sentenced to death. He
was shot and killed in Shkodër on the 11 March 1948 at 5 am together
with Mons. Frano Gjini, Fr, Çiprian Nikaj and 13 other prisoners.
Other information: He was
full of goodness. They accused him of hiding arms underneath the altar
of Saint Anthony in the church of St. Francis in Gjuhadol and in the
convent basement. Also for being the leader of the democratic party.
Infact he had gone to celebrate the name day (feast day) of Fr. Serafin
Koda in Lezhe.
This meeting was called by
the communists a political gathering. They arrested him together with
Mons. Fran Gjinin, Fr. Çiprian Nikaj and others. Straight after they
sentenced him to death he asked the judge to let him greet all the
prisoners before he went to Eternal life, they allowed him and the first
person he went to greet was Fr. Ndoc Sahatçia who had accused him and
said to him. Fr. Ndoc I am praying for you that God will have mercy on
you and forgive you as I am forgiving you for all the slanders that you
spoke against me. His last words were, “I am innocent but I am dying
while fulfilling my duty Glory be to Christ the King! Long live the
Pope! Long live the Catholic Church, long live Albania! I forgive the
judge and members of the count and all those who will harm our innocent
bodies”.
Will shot and killed him
outside the cemetery of Remaj in Shkodër and there they left him.
