Born in Dushkul (Mali
Shëngjinit) on the 16 November 1917
Baptised on the 29 Januray
1918 in (Velipoja) Mali Kolaj.
Confirmed on the 08 May 1926
From the Diocese of Lezhë,
later he transferred to the diocese of Shkodra.
He was Ordained Priest in
Castel Gandolfo (Italy), at the Urbano College on the 20 December 1942.
He said his first Mass in
Genazzano (Rome) on the 21 December 1942 in the Sanctuary of the Mother
of Good Counsel.
Parish Priest of Velipojë and
later in Dajç of Bregut Bunës (Shkodër Archdiocese).
He was imprisoned at Shkodër
on the 07 November 1958.
He was sentenced to death on
the 27 April 1959.
He was shot and killed on the
12 May 1959 by the lake of Shkodër (Albania)
Other information: From his
youth he was taught by the servant of God father Alfonse Tracki.
He was arrested and sentenced
to death because he sent the list of the Priests that had been killed
out of Albania.
The first time he was
arrested in 1948 while he was the Parish Priest of Velipoja and after a
few months he was set free. The second time he was arrested in Dajç in
1958.
Before the trial he
proclaimed with courage the Catholic Faith and denounced the unfairness
of the communist regime.
His bones were found and
buried again in the Dajç Cemetery accompanied by a large Crowd of people
on the 10 October 1991.
