Born in Shkodër on the 26 February 1911.
Baptised on the 26 February 1911 in Shkodër confirmed
on the19 June 1918
from the Diocese of Shkodër OFM.
Priestly Ordination in Italy, Torricchio (Pistoia) on
the 29 June 1936.
The first Mass in Colleviti – Pescia – Pistoia on the
30 June 1936.
Reception of the Religions habit on the 14 July 1928.
Temporary profession in……… on the 15 July 1929. Solemn Profession on the
17 September 1932.
He studied with the Franciscans. Theology. He studied
in Colleviti of Pescia.
Parish Priest of Curraj of Eper, Brishe, Raje and
Nikaj. He was imprisoned in the beginning in Saint Gjergj (George) in
Dukagjin and later on in Shkodër. He was sentenced to be hung on the 18
January 1947. His sentence was changed to imprisonment for life in the
prison of Burrel on the 24 February 1947 an in this way they sent him to
concentration camp to do forced labour in Orman Pojan in Korça (South
Albania).
He died of a heart attack in Burrel prison on the 04
April 1954.
Other information: He had a great passion for music.
The security assembly sentenced him because he refused to tell what he
had said to one person in confession (Lush Martini) who was against the
communist regime, who with others had hidden in the mountains because he
was wounded.
He never revealed the secret of confession even
though he was tortured in an inhuman way. Pjeter Kukaj who went to him
and asked him to give the sacraments to a sick man confession, communion
and viaticum. Since they were difficult times, advised him that it was
dangerous for him to do so, but Fr. Karl Serregi answered, “For this is
not important my duty is to go”. For this he was arrested when he
learned of his death sentence he said to the other prisoner, “I am glad
to die for Christ. He was buried in Burrel.
