Other information: seeing that the Communist regime was so Powerful, at that time the situation was getting worse. Since Father Michel was the youngest in his family. His brothers tried to get him away from his vocation, but he was determined and didn’t give in.

He was very zealous and after the Church was closed down (1967) without Considering that it was forbidden he carried on his priestly ministry in villages and in the mountain.

To those who told him to be careful because his life was in danger day and night he answered, “Christ will protect me and God is God and Christ is the King’.

When they arrested him the police placed him in front of the church door which by now was transformed into a Cultural palace and forced the people to spit at him.

He was cruelly tortured, but he bore it in a heroic way.

He was sentenced to 7 years imprisonment but before the court (the Judges) he spoke against the regime and the dictatorship of Enver Hoxha. For this there and then he was condemned to be shot and killed. To silence him they stripped him and pierced him with spears.

He was a heroic witness of the Catholic faith and for this he is honoured by all those who had known him.
