Born in Shkodër on the 09
July 1914.
Baptised on the 10 July 1914
Confirmed on the 04 June 1922 from the
diocese of Shkodër. Ordained Priest in Propaganda Fide in Roma on the 23
March 1940.
He studied in the pontifical
Albanian Seminary and finished theology in Propaganda Fide. He was the
parish priest of Reç, Lohe and Shkrel. He also served in the parishes in
the Shkodër Mountains (Malësi).
He was arrested in Shkrel,
and imprisoned in Koplik on the 27 July 1948.
He died in Koplik prison while he was being tortured
without trial. The guards threw him along with Fr. Lek Sirdanin, in to
the black pit of the lavatory they were pushed down with a fork until
they died on the 26 December 1948 (Compare the index card of Fr. Lek
Sirdanit).
Other information: He was an
exemplary priest zealous, and a model of the good Shepherd for his
flock.
He was arrested and accused
for translating the encyclical “Rerum Novarum” of Pope Leo XIII.
They tortured and left him to
die in a heartless way together with Fr. Lek (Aleksander) Sirdanin, in
the black pit of the police station in Koplik to the North of Shkodër.
